Chen explained that Taiwan produced very good machines and expressed his hope that the Association would one day cooperate with Nigerian people and teach them to prepare their industry labour enabling them to make good use of the machinery imported from Taiwan.
Chen viewed Nigerians were more business oriented and the Association aimed to visit Nigeria and find partnership with the people who would then produce some electrical products.
Taiwan machinery were unique in quality, the prices were very reasonable compared to those of European countries and above all they also intend to offer training in Taiwan to those who patronize them.
Among the challenges in doing business in Nigeria was that of infrastructure, which were not adequate and procedures of investing in any company in Nigeria was more complicated than in Taiwan, he added.
He suggested that if the procedures were made easier, foreigners would be encouraged to do more business.
Taiwan and Nigeria have very good relationship and apart from bringing the Taiwan machinery to Nigeria, Taiwan has been importing petroleum and other chemical products from Nigeria, informed Chen.
Chen viewed that despite the abundant resources in Nigeria, lot of young people were jobless but the country can have a very good education system and make a lot of money from it.
