After reaching seasonal highs during late May, China’s Keqiao Textile Index eased lower for the week ending June 16, pulled down by every component aside from grey fabric. This report marks the third week in the last four that the main index and home textiles component both declined from the previous week’s levels. As the most volatile component, the raw materials index fell each of the last three weeks, down to its lowest level in a month. At 100.42, the accessories index is just up from its lowest point set two weeks ago, and is little changed from a year ago. Grey fabric is the only sector not to give up ground for the week, rising a scant 0.03% from the previous week, remaining little changed over the last month.
