Recently, Shanghai Petrochemical Co Ltd (SPC) has launched the establishment of "National Environment-friendly Enterprise".
As an important measure for promoting enterprises' clean production, strengthening industrial pollution prevention, consciously protecting ecological environment and insisting on a new industrialization road, it will contribute to the establishment of an energy-saving and environment-friendly society.
The strict standard of establishing an environment-friendly enterprise requires compliance with 22 basic conditions out of environment index, management index and product index.
SPC will carry out the establishment in 5 phases in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Environmental Protection: firstly, to mobilize and set up a leadership team; secondly, to analyze the gap and work out a plan; thirdly, to organize implementation and rectify for improvement; fourthly, to conduct self-evaluation and make up the deficiencies; fifthly, to compile materials and apply for acceptance check.
Moreover, in line with the principle of "establishing jointly, sharing resources, showing specialties, complementing advantages, benefiting residents, creating win-win", SPC, the Jinshan District and the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park have recently signed an agreement to jointly establish a national environmental protection model district with "safety, greenness and harmony" as the goal.
