After finishing decades of restructuring and transform from the up stream of processing raw materials to the down stream of manufacturing end products, Qingdao starts to push forward its home textile industry, which is believed to enjoy a great market potential.
Insiders predict that Qingdao's home textile will take a glide way toward a more integrated production chain with higher added values, supported by its fully developed textile industry. According to an authorized survey, home textile industry can obtain rapid growth when the city's GDP per capita reaches USD 3,000 to 10,000. Currently Qingdao's GDP per capita has reached nearly 6,000, which shows the extensive market for its home textile sector.
