China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT) recently issued an urgent price risk warning on the monitored products exported to EU. The falling of the export prices of some textile garments is likely to cause anti-dumping investigation by the EU, which may bring extremely serious consequences to the garment industry. Based on the statistics released by China Customs, in the first five months this year, the prices of the products monitored by China and EU presented a drop to various degrees, among which there was a big decline of the unit price of the exported pullover sweaters, women's loose shirts and one-piece dresses. The chamber of commerce stated that the price fall of the exported products is influenced by the factors such as the "quota" cost, product structure, but attention deserves to be paid to the low export prices of some enterprises.
