Responding to higher raw materials and prices for apparel fabric, China's Keqiao Textile Index rose for the second consecutive week last week and for the seventh time in the last nine weeks, reaching the second-highest point in ten months. The main gauge now stands at 97.71, boosted from last week as two of five sub-indexes rose for the week. After reaching a record low last week, the raw materials component rebounded 0.72 points to 90.98, while the apparel fabrics component rebounded from last week to 100.41, challenging its highest point in ten months. Following the previous week's record price for the grey fabric sub-index, the measure retreated in the latest week, slipping 0.03 points to 103.56. The accessories component declined for the fourth time in the last six weeks, giving up -0.53 points last week to 102.19. The home textiles sub-index eroded for the third straight week, shedding -0.05 points to 98.01.
