Weiqiao Group 1st among textile cos in China top 500 list

Recently, Textile Association of China published “2007-2008 China Top 500 Competitive Textile and Fashion Enterprises” in Shanghai. It is the first time that TAC published this and among the top 500 enterprises, Weiqiao Pioneering Group ranks 1st.
In the Conference is also published “2007-2008 China Cotton Textile (Yarn-dyed) Industry Top 20 Competitive Enterprises”, “China Textile and Fashion Top 100 Enterprises in term of sales” and “China Textile and Fashion Top 100 Enterprises in term of export”, in which Weiqiao Pioneering Group ranks No. 1, too.
The “2007-2008 China Top 500 Competitive Textile and Fashion Enterprises” are carefully listed on the basis of study of overall environment and operation data of enterprises in 2007 as well as evaluation from textile experts.
The first 150 enterprises are further named as “Five-star Enterprises”, and the 200 enterprises following those 150 ones are “Four-star Enterprises” while the last 150 ones are “3-star Enterprises of China Top 500 Competitive Textile and Fashion Enterprises”. Weiqiao Pioneering Group is one of the “Five-star Enterprises”.
It is reported that new factors appear during this year’s evaluation as compared to last years. Firstly, the enterprise range is widened, including not only cotton textile, yarn-dyed, woolen, polyester, linen, silk, printing and dyeing, knitting and garment making, but also home textile and textile machinery.
The number of enterprises participating in the evaluation is largely increased; secondly, a new data evaluation system is created and the evaluation efficiency is highly improved due to adoption of automatic module evaluation system; lastly, this year’s evaluation takes social responsibility index into consideration by adding energy-saving and environmental protection, social insurance and taxation contribution as listing factors, and for intangible assets complex index, the Conference includes “China Top Brand” and “China Renown Brand” to enrich evaluation indexes.
