Standards for infants wear puts into practice this Oct.

October 1, the first Infants Wear Standards in China officially went into effect. The standards mainly aim at infants less than 24 month-old. Several technical requirements are clearly prescribed in it. The amount of formaldehyde in infants wear should be no more than 20 mg. per kilo, while the pH value should be from 4.0 to 7.5. Decomposable aromatic amine dye is forbidden. The largest neck size of pullovers should be no less than 52 cm. Rope belt should not be outside of the garment for more than 14 cm.
