Keqiao Textile Index of China is a complete index system consisting of price index, Boom Index and Foreign Trade Index, which reflects the present and future of China Light Textile City and the light textile industry in Shaoxing. It consists of a number of sub-indexes:
Textile Price Index: Based on scientific commodity categorization, select the representative products and gather the data on their trade prices, volumes and amount, which reflects the price change of textile products in the light textile market.
Textile Boom index: Based on scientific commodity categorization, create an integrated index system (including a number of indexes reflecting the market size, profitability, confidence of the operators, the current status of the industry and the future trend). According to overall assessment theory and methodology, build up an integrated index representing the light textile market in China and the textile industry in Shaoxing, calculated by a multilayer and multi-structure embedded statistics model. It compromises Textile Market Boom Index and Textile Industry Boom Index.
Textile Foreign Trade Index: Covering the main textile exporters in Shaoxing, collect the price, trade volume and profitability information on a number of export categorizes, reflecting the foreign trade situation of Keqiao Textile Market. It consists of Textile Foreign Trade Price Index and Textile Foreign Trade Boon Index.

The Textile Price Index covers raw materials, grey cloth, clothes fabrics, home furnishing fabrics and clothes accessories. Based on international and domestic textile categorization rules, the concerned products are classified by raw material, use and the features of Keqiao Light Textile Market. Today, it includes 5 main categories 35 sub-categories and 288 classes. Simplified and fashionable, the English version will retain the comments of the current Chinese issue, alert and forecast, index knowledge and other contents, along with Company Profile of Light Textile City and video of Light Textile City overview.

Since June 2008, based on various comments and advices, the Index Preparation Office Information Team has summarized and integrated the feedbacks and added new models, in order to become more user friendly, expand the appeal more operators.
