In the recent “China Cotton Textile Industry Technology Upgrading Communication Meeting”, the CNTAC said that the central government was preparing a technology upgrading plan aiming to encourage investing and enlarge domestic demand, which comprise the three-year revival plan for textile industry. CNTAC asked the textile enterprises to apply into this project based on the provisions and CNTAC would do the recommendation to the government.
The three-year revival plan for textile industry proposed five key sections for investing and technology upgrading, including the developing and commercializing of high-tech fibers, deep processing and application of natural fibers, clean production (energy-saving and emission-reducing), new textile machinery, technical textile.
According to Xu Wenying, the Vice President of CNTAC, who is also the President of China Cotton Textile Association, the key point of technology upgrading is to achieve economic benefit through investing in advanced machinery and developing new products.
