The global textile and garment market was in the downturn under the impact of financial crisis, but Nantong fabric import reported increase in Jan. 2009. According to local statistics, the fabric import was 204,000 meters in Jan., valued 739,400 USD, up 13.07% and 21.51% respectively. The major import products were cotton dyeing fabric, cotton printing fabric and cotton color-weaving fabric. They are mainly used for processing trade, accounting for 96.77% of the total import.
