Hempel Award the 17th China International Young Fashion Designers Contest (abbr. Hempel Award Contest), organized by China Fashion Association and Hempel International Group, will be held at Workshop, D•PARK on March 24, 2009, and then, we will enjoy the creative fashion show brought by young fashion designers from 18 countries and regions all over the world.
The 60th Anniversary of Foundation of People’s Republic of China will be held in the year of 2009 and it properly coincides with the theme of Hempel Award Contest. We believe that designers from different countries and regions will bring us the various national day fashion show.
From September of 2008, we have got 1738 pieces of illustrations from 21 countries and regions including Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Finland, Norway, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Russia, Croatia, Ecuador, Columbia, Australia, Mongolia, Canada, Morocco, and Israeli.
There are all sorts of strange reasons for establishing one country: some countries set the date of founding for the National Day, some set the date of conquering the former capital, some set the independence day of the country, some set the birthday of the president etc, and different countries have various national day receptions. We believe that young fashion designers from all over the world will bring us excellent inspiration and culture background.
After the seriously evaluation from the judges, they have chosen 31 contestants from 18 countries and regions to participate the final which will be held in Beijing on March 24 for the opening ceremony of China Fashion Week.
Since Hempel Award Contest has founded from 1993, almost 30 thousands young fashion designers from about 40 countries and regions have participated in the Hempel Award Contest. Hempel Award the China International Young Fashion Designers Contest, which has successfully held for 16 times in the past few years, has been the professional contest with most international influence and countries participation. We look forward to enjoying this National Day Reception by young fashion designers.
