INVISTA, one of the world's leading producers of integrated fibers and polymers and owner of the LYCRA fibre brand, is exhibiting its LYCRA fibre innovations for the fifth year at the prestigious Hong Kong Mode Lingerie (7-8 April 2009).
Invista continues to introduce new additions to the textile industry bringing added value customers throughout the apparel value chain. The presence of INVISTA at Hong Kong Mode Lingerie cements its commitment to its customers during the economic climate.
All of the intimate apparel and swimwear innovations from INVISTA will echo the theme of 'Seduction':
LYCRA 2.0 tape
• The first innovation from the LYCRA 2.0 garment technology platform
• Bonds herns, bands and seams to give garments stretch and recovery benefits that move with the body
• Designers will be able to reduce underwear lines and bulky elastics while extending durability of lingerie
• Gives the wearer a smooth all-day fit due to the seamless look
• Hong Kong Polytechnic, amongst other design schools across the globe, took part in INVISTA's International Design Contest last year, which challenged students to create lingerie that best demonstrates the unique benefits of this new innovation
LYCRA Xtra Fine Collection fibre
• Suitable for the design and production of very light weight fabrics (120 gram/m2 or less)
• These fabrics provide wearers with a 'second skin' feeling by giving them a perception of barely-there intimates
• Creates a stylish and elegant look within lingerie
LYCRA freshFX fabric
• Keeps the wearer fresh, carefree and confident
• Wicker fabrics dry quickly thanks to the nylon fibre with a unique four-channel capillary cross-section
• Helps transfer moisture and is exceptionally soft to touch
Xtra Life LYCRA fibre
• Delivers beautiful, long-lasting fir in swimwear
• Resists chlorine and allows garments to keep their shape up to 5-10 times longer the unprotected elastane fibre
• Thanks to the role of the Xtra Life LYCRA fibre, costumes withstand the 'bag and sag' for longer
Through product research and development based on consumer insights, and also working closely with upstream mill customers, INVISTA consolidates its leading position and continues its contribution to creating long-term value for its customers.
