Shandong Dezhou Fiber Inspection Institute started to prepare for the establishment of a national cotton standard sample research base in March, to develop domestic standard sample and realize the production in home. It is said to be the first one of this kind in China.
“China has no cotton standard sample research base till now. Thus, all the HVI standard samples need to be imported. It is not only costly, but also under overlaborate procedures with long period. This cannot meet the demand from the labs or institutes. ” Some official from Dezhou Fiber Inspection Institute said.
He also mentioned that once the base had been established, they were going to develop a cotton standard sample research system with proprietary intellectual property rights, to meet our demand in inspection and quarantine, textile industry and argriculture. This might not only serve the domestic demand, but also be open to international labs and institutes in the future.
