Hong Zeng has joined R.G. Barry Corp., maker of the Dearfoams brand, as its China-based VP of sourcing. He replaces Michael Schatz, the company’s current VP of sourcing, who will retire later this year after 15 years at the company.
Zeng has experience at footwear companies including Stride Rite, Converse, Kenneth Cole, Skechers and Endicott Johnson. He most recently served as the general manager for Fuzhou, a Chinese footwear manufacturer.

Barry’s SVP of supply chain, said in a statement, “As our business continues to evolve, we believe that a manager of Hong’s caliber will be critically important to us if we are to continue correctly identifying and utilizing the type of strategic sourcing options that will maximize our overall performance and profitability.”
