Texcare Asia, the region’s leading trade destination for professionals in the laundry and drycleaning equipment industry, already has signed 60 “top industry brands” as exhibitors six months ahead of the fall show, reports Messe Frankfurt, its organizer.
The China International Exhibition Center will host the event here on Oct. 28-30. Running in tandem will be the Texcare Forum Asia, featuring myriad seminars that focus on the latest developments in the global professional textile care industry.
‘BIG-NAME BRANDS’ TO PARTICIPATE
Texcare Asia will boast a display area of almost 10,000 square meters (approximately 108,000 square feet) that will include country pavilions mounted by Germany and Italy.
Big-name brands select Texcare Asia as the trading platform to launch new products in mainland China, Messe Frankfurt says.
“Shanghai Sailstar Machinery (Group) Co. Ltd. will be showcasing their latest product range of laundry, drycleaning and folding equipment, which has yet to be launched in China,” notes Wendy Chi, marketing manager. “These products include the immensely popular reuse rinsing water system, which generates water savings of up to 50%.”
Jean-Marc Vandoorne, senior vice president for International Sales, Alliance International, says the company will be introducing its top brands and products, including “Speed Queen’s new control platforms; IPSO’s professional units; UniMac’s latest commercial washers with upgraded networking capabilities and advanced water conservation features; Cissell’s steam-heated tumble dryers and a turnout gear dryer especially for the firefighting industry; Huebsch’s new Galaxy control for marine; and D’Hooge’s heavy-duty washer-extractor customized for the Chinese market.”
With the China market still growing at a comparatively steady rate, Jason Gerling, director of Hong Kong Operations for Castic-SMP Machinery Corp., is reveling in the challenges presented by the world economy.
“The global economic downturn has given us and our U.S. partner, Pellerin Milnor, the opportunity to develop new models and new technologies that will serve to assist our customers in terms of lowering operating costs and offering significant savings in capital investment expenditure. At Texcare Asia we look forward to unveiling our new line of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient Multimatic and Secomatic drycleaning machines.”
ECONOMIC CONCESSIONS, ENHANCEMENTS REAFFIRM SHOW’S RELEVANCE
The Chinese central government has implemented a raft of new tax cuts, rebates and exemptions to encourage enterprise investment and consumer spending, Messe Frankfurt says. This is especially good news to promote sales of machinery, solvent and other laundry supplies. Preliminary calculations indicate that the burden on small- and medium-sized enterprises and individuals, including distributors, sales agents and laundry service proprietors, will fall by as much as $75 billion this year.
By taking advantage of subsidies to upgrade technologies, laundry and drycleaning manufacturers will be better able to produce products and services that are more energy-efficient and enviro-friendly. Similarly, end-users such as laundry plants, hotels and hospitals will have greater incentive to upgrade their equipment, Messe Frankfurt says.
In an effort to enhance mainland China’s healthcare system, local governments across the country will plow an additional $127 billion into the system over the next three years on top of the $50 billion already allocated by the Chinese central government.
This year, 29,000 health clinics are to be built in towns and townships across China. During the next three years, 5,000 central health clinics, 2,000 county-level hospitals and 2,400 community health service centers will be built. Demand for laundry and drycleaning equipment, products and services will increase across the country, Messe Frankfurt says.
