Springs Creative Products Group has expanded its operations in China by establishing the Springs Creative Shanghai Trading Co.
The company says the Shanghai office expands its worldwide sourcing and supply capabilities.
Rock Hill-based Springs Creative is a supplier of licensed retail fabrics, packaged crafts and specialty fabrics.
In March 2007, Springs Global US Inc. sold the business to Derick Close, who had managed the division since 2000. He is a brother of Crandall Bowles, former Springs Global co-chief executive.
“Positioning ourselves in China remains a very strategic move as the country is the world’s No. 1 emerging market,” Close says. “This move will allow us to better serve our customers through a global vertical supply chain. We have an excellent team of employees that are proficient in the global textile industry and possess years of valuable expertise.”
