The garment industry in Hainan is developing well. According to news from the recent Hainan garment industry conference, Hainan is constructing a leisure wear industry zone and aims at industry updating in this province.
It is reported that there are about 1000 garment manufacuturers in Hainan with 50,000 workers. 51 of them are statictics-worthy enterprises (whose annul output beyond five million yuan). Some brands like “Diyangna”, “Youmei Underwear”, “Sheng Dannisi”, “Xilulai” and “Hualun Garment”are popular in the market. Despite the impact of global finance crisis, the value of garment industry output reached 1.422 billion yuan in Hainan last year, with export 48 million USD.
