In, what is observed as a retaliation measure, China imposed anti-dumping duty on imports of Nylon-6 from four countries, including the US, with the highest duty levied on imports from the US.
This comes a day after the US Commerce Department announced on Wednesday, that, it had opened investigations into alleged dumping of aluminum extrusions imported from China.
Chin has imposed an anti-dumping duty ranging between 29.3-96.5 percent on Nylon-6 imported from the US, while the likes of European Union, Russia and Taiwan, tariffs ranging from 4.0-23.9 percent have been slapped.
These measures will be effective for a period of five years. Nylon-6 is mainly used in the textile and automobile sectors.
