According to a report released by China IntelliConsulting Corp, the online sales volume of garment reached 64 billion Yuan in 2009, increasing by 97% compared to that in 2008. The online sales volume in 2010 is expected to surpass 100 billion Yuan with a growth of 80%. In 2009, 80% of garment online sales is done through Taobao.com (a C2C website).

In the senior analyst Fan Chunhui's mind, the online sales volume of garment kept a rapid growth in recent years. The online sales volume of garment takes a 25% share of the total online sales volume.

In 2008, some famous garment companies opened their online shops. Shortly after a year, all these online shops run well. In 2009, the sales volume of Lining at Taobao.com is over 500 million Yuan. The highest sales volume of Jack Jones and Kappa at Taobao.com reached 5 million Yuan and 4 million Yuan in a single day. What's more, some companies became increasingly mature at online promotion and online distribution channel management.

It is just the beginning of Chinese e-commerce of garments. It is predictable that the following 5 years will be the prime time of garment online sales.
