The Commerce Blue Book released by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences predicts that the aggregate sales value of social consumption goods will reach 15 trillion Yuan with a growth of 20% in 2010. Vehicle consumption remains popular. It is expected that 15 billion vehicles will be sold this year.
From 2003 to 2008, the aggregate sales value of social consumption goods increases from 5 trillion to 10 trillion. The blue book predicts that it will take only 2 years to increase to 15 trillion.
Statistics from Ministry of Commerce show that the aggregate sales value of social consumption goods was 12.35 trillion Yuan in 2009 with a growth of 15.5%.The practical growth was 16.9% considering the price factor, which is the biggest practical growth since 1986.
