Peak CEO Xu Zhihua made his remark for the low price strategy may launched by Nike on second or third tiers city in China during a recent new products promotion, he said it is no good and impossible for Nike to change its brand image, but it is possible to promote individual products at low price, but low price strategy may not pose any threat to Peak sales.
Xu pointed out Peak Group will launch one-month promotion in Chinese 18 cities starting from this Wednesday, and added that American consumes 3.6 pairs of sports shoes, while Chinese people buy less than one pair averagely, therefore it has big potential for sports shoes market in China. Sale growth will be expected to reach 15% to 20% for Peak, he predicted.
