The sanitary agency from Argentina, SENASA, announced a meeting in Beijing with the sanitary authorities from China.
The idea is to agree in a sanitary protocol to allow the access of Argentinian pears and apples to the Chinese markets. Members of the Argentinian delegation were: Ambassador Extraordinary for agricultural issues, Carlos Cheppi; Senasa vice president, Carlos Paz, the national director of Pest Surveillance and Monitoring Agency, Paul Cortese and Bernardo Cosentino, from the area of Epidemiological Service.
This meeting confirms the final draft on the protocol for the phytosanitary requirements of the Argentinian pears and apples.
