China s first blemish grading solution for apples has been installed by Compac Sorting Equipment. The project, developed for Dalian Tianbao Food pitted Compac Sorting against several high profile European based competitors during the tender process. We re confident that our superior technology and expertise in blemish grading solutions gave us the edge overall . Compac s HH Song, GM of Sales, China said. The installation of the first Compac InVision 9000 blemish grading system is the latest install in China made by Compac and comes on the back of a Compac developed solution to repack New Zealand kiwifruit in China.
The two lane Compac machine is the first apple line in China to have a completely dry infeed system. Operating without a water flume infeed makes the machine suitable for use with apples wrapped in protective socks where the machine functions as a weight only grader. When not sorting apples which are already wrapped the machine is able to utilise the latest in blemish grading technology, Compac s InVision 9000 system. This gives the customer greater flexibility to choose what and how their line will sort based on their needs at a particular time HH Song said.
With growth in Asia looking promising for the company, Compac s General Manager, Bob Shaw will be attending Asia Fruit Logistica during September in Hong Kong. We ve been attending Asia Fruit Logistica for a number of years now and with each year our commitment to the Asian Region grows. We see it as an increasingly important market Shaw said.
