October 14, Zhao Daxing and Yu Haijing attended the Seventh Law and NGO Salon in Tianjin.The Seventh Law and NGO Salon was held successfully in Nankai University, Tianjin on October 14, 2010.This Salon was jointly organized by China Association for NGO Cooperation (hereinafter referred to: CANGO) and Friends of Green China Tianjin.
In order to promote the exchanges between domestic NGOsandgovernment agencies, CANGO invited Wang Xiaosheng, the representative of British Embassy (funding agency of the salon); Liu Zhengguo , Director of Administration Bureau of Civil Society Organizations, Ministry of Civil Affairs and Wang Dongsheng, the researcher ofPolicy and Regulation Division, Tianjin Civil Affairs Bureau as speakers to discuss the policies and regulations related to the interests of domestic NGOs with local NGOs in Tianjin.
In the Salon, Zhao Daxing introduced the development process and the situation of project implementation in Cango, Liu Zhengguo, Wang Xiaosheng and Wang Dongsheng, explained the criterion for government to constitute laws and regulations, development of NGOs in other countries and issues of registration and management for domestic grass-roots NGOs and so on. These speakers also answered questions from the representatives of local NGOs. Except the staff of CANGO, a total of 30 people, including representatives from British Embassy, Ministry of Civil Affairs, Tianjin Green Friend, local NGOs and related experts in Tianjin attended the salon.
