Giant shopping mall to rise in subrban Chengdu

The government of Jinjiang District of Chengdu publicized its plan this week on modeling a modern shopping center in the suburban areas of the city.

The shopping center, named Jinjiang Suburban Shopping Village, is located in the east of Chengdu and has an area of 13.4 hectares. It will be made a comprehensive shopping mall combining the functions of shopping, hotel, sports, catering and entertainment.

Its location has an easy access to downtown areas, the airport, railway stations and bus stations in the city.
