Staff of foreign consulates in Chengdu focus on NPC meeting

Staff of foreign consulates in Chengdu showed great interest of the First Plenary Meeting of the 4th session of the 11th Sichuan provincial People's Congress on Tuesday in Chengdu, to which they were invited to sit in on the conference.

Among the invited staff of foreign consulates was Mr. Emmanuel Rousseau, consul general of the Consulate General of France, who said he was very much impressed by the reports delivered at the meeting, which helped him better get a clear picture on what Sichuan achieved in the past years in rescue and reconstruction after the 2008 earthquake and the remarkable economic and social developments.

"I have confi dence that Sichuan will make even greater achievements in the 12th Five-year Period, and
that will mean an even greater opportunity for the French companies," he said.
