National mountain bike championship to be held in Qingbai jiang

The Qingbaijiang District in northeastern Chengdu will host for the second time the 2011 China National Mountain Bike Championship this spring. Departments of sports of Chengdu municipal government said that the 3rd and 4th laps of the championship will be held March 19-25 in the district. Most of the best bicycle athletes in China will take part in this top-level event in the country.

Last year, Qingbaijiang District hosted the championship for the st time and the event was praised to be "one of the best in history" by of ials from the national sports administration, who noted that the district is a suitable site for mountain bike sports for its distinctive topographical features and lush vegetation.
