Abundant snow fall stirs up skiing fever

The administration of Xiling Snow Mountains, one of the best snow sports resorts in China, said on Thursday that the resort reported the largest ever number of visitors in the winter season because of favorable weather conditions.

Accommodation and admission to the skiing fi eld are still in short supply even after the conclusion of the Golden Week of the Spring Festival holidays, and long queues are seen at the entrances to the cable car station. A peony exhibition at the site, a world of snow and ice, also attracts a lot of visitors. "People's passion for snow will still go on until the Lantern Festival," observed an offi cial of the administration.
