City''''Best Sites selection begins

The selection of Top 10 Best Sites in Chengdu, a co-sponsored program by Chengdu Tourism Association, Chengdu Culture & Tourism Group and Chengdu Media Group, was launched on Monday and caused a stir among local residents and visitors to the city.

The selection is meant to collect opinions of the public and decide by a vote upon the list of 20 sites that best represents the history, culture, natural scenery and architectural characteristics of Chengdu of two categories, each consisting of 10 sites, i.e. the Classic Sites and the Contemporary Sites.Preliminary selection of the program ends on the 25th this month and people are encouraged to send their recommendations by completing the form downloaded from www. Chengdu.cn. to the organizers' office at No.19, Yangshi Street, or to its online address chengdushijing@126.com, together with the photos of the recommended sites.

The organizers of the program will invite representatives among voters to have tours to the sites chosen from preliminary selection and the final result of the selection will be announced early next year.
