Hennes & Mauritz to launch first outlet in Turkey

Swedish clothing label H&M to open 1st store in Turkey
Swedish clothing company H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB is set to expand its enterprise in Turkey. The label has signed a contract to open its first store in one of the country's biggest shopping centers, Forum Istanbul.
The shop is set for a November 2010 opening date. It has a sales area of approximately 2,300 square meters.
CEO Karl-Johan Persson said, "We are very pleased to open our first store in Turkey. It is an interesting market with a large, young and fashion-conscious population, which offers great potential for future expansion."
"Since long, we have business relations with Turkey through our production office. Now we are looking forward to offering customers in Turkey fashion and quality at the best price."
The company currently has around 2,000 shops around the world.
