China s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index in June is 52.1%

In June, 2010, the manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index for China (PMI) by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) is 52.1%, down 1.8 percentage points from the previous month. The PMI of CFLP has been strongly bolstered by Hong Kong s Li &Fung Group.

The PMI is a composite index, consisting of 5 weighted diffusion indexes in accordance with international practices. Usually, if the PMI is above 50%, it reflects economic expansion in general; it below 50%, it reflects economic recession.
