E-commerce transactions of China amounted to RMB3.85t last year
The Information Blue Book: China Information Analysis and Forecast (2010) issued by the editorial board of the Information Blue Book and the Social Science and Academic Press on August19 in Beijing pointed out that in 2009, the national e-commerce transactions amounted to RMB3.85t.
The Blue Book stated that the Internet economy, one important part of Chinese economy, has exerted an important role in the process of expanding domestic demand, guaranteeing growth and fighting against the financial crisis. The annual growth speed of online payment reached 110.2%, closely followed by online shopping, with the growth speed of trading scale being 93.7%. Both are the representative industries in the e-commerce development of China, which has become the highlight in the Internet economy of 2009.
