Sales of home appliances to rural areas in Oct. hit 7 Million units

In October, sales of home appliances to rural areas reached 6.975 million units, hitting 16.59 billion yuan, up by 81% and 123% year-on-year respectively. The top three in terms of sales value were: color TV sets (5.01 billion yuan), refrigerator (4.97 billion yuan), and water heater (1.70 billion yuan), up by 157%, 96%, and 2.6 times year-on-year respectively. The top five in terms of regions were Henan (2.08 billion yuan), Shandong (1.88 billion yuan), Anhui (1.40 billion yuan), Hebei (1.15 billion yuan), and Jiangsu (1.01 billion yuan).

In the first ten months, a total 59.514 million units of home appliances were sold to rural areas, with sales values hitting 132.31 billion yuan, up by 1.4 times and 1.9 times year-on-year respectively. And the top five in terms of regions were Henan (16.89 billion yuan), Shandong (14.07 billion yuan), Anhui (10.58 billion yuan), Sichuan (8.79 billion yuan), and Jiangsu (8.47 billion yuan).
