The reception capacity of hotels in Shanghai saturated due to the huge amount of visitors from all over the world. Xu Zurong, CEO of Jinjiang Inn Co., Ltd. said that the occupancy rate of the company s Shanghai hotels had reached to 100%. The single room profits in May rose 30% on a year-on-year basis. In the peak time of the Expo the hotel price will likely rise.

Xu said that at present Jinjiang has 73 hotels in Shanghai, and more than 10,000 rooms of the company there have been filled, with the occupancy rate reaches 100%. Even if the number of visitors continues to rise, the occupancy rate of economic hotels could hardly be improved.

Xu Zurong said that as the only A-share listed economic hotel chain, Jinjiang Inn is making further expansion, and acquisition will be one of the company s means.
