Home Inns to Open 1100th Hotel in 2011

Home Inns announces its 2011 expansion plan on Jan. 7th, which says the company will open 260-280 new hotels this year and the number of its hotels will reach 1100 by the end of the year. If materialized, the plan will set a record growth rate of opening new economy hotels in China.

According to the company s plan, among the new stores that will be opened, 100-110 will be run under lease and 160-170 will be given franchise. Moreover, a previous plan announced by Home Inns says that 3-4 medium-and high-end business hotels, named Yitel, will be opened in 2011.

As is shown in the statement released by the company, Home Inns opens 208 new hotels in 2010, including 67 in lease operation and 141 franchisees. By the end of 2010, there are 818 Home Inns hotels.
