China Needs to Strengthen Monitoring on Steel Trade Protectionist

There is an urgent need for China to set up a monitoring system for possible trade remedies foreign countries would launch against Chinese-made steel in the future, in order to minimize the losses brought to the industry, said an official from the Ministry of Commerce.

His remarks came amid the fact that the Chinese steel sector has become a lighting rod of criticism from the United States in recent months.
