China Unlikely to Raise Steel Export Duty

China is unlikely to raise duties on exports of steel products in the short term, nor will pursue any policy to support them unless exports totally dry up, said a senior official of China's Customs.

He added China's decision to cut export rebates on steel products in mid-July was working as exports of steel products fell from 5.62 million tons in June to 2.80 million tons in August.
