Qingdao Port Group has completed the construction of a 458-meter-long bridge and 2,316-meter-long dam that connect to an iron ore dock in the Dongjiakou Port Zone, paving way for the official operations of the 3.8 billion yuan dock at the end of this year. The dock, dubbed as China's first 400,000 dwt berth dedicated to iron ore, has an annual handling capacity of 25 million tons and will make important contributions to enhancing Qingdao port's iron ore handling capacity to 150 million tons pea year.
