China's Sep Steel Exports Recovers

China exported 3.01 million tons of steel products in September, an increase of 210,000 tons from August and up 21.86 percent year-on-year, and exported 230,000 tons of coke, up 190,000 tons from last year while importing 1.32 million tons of finished steel, down 30,000 tons from the previous month and 30.89 percent year-on-year, 40,000 tons of billet, down 40,000 tons from a month ago, and 52.6 million tons of iron ore, up 7.99 million tons from August and down 18.51 percent year-on-year.

In the first nine months, China exported 33.94 million tons of steel, up 116.1 percent year-on-year, 130,000 tons of billet, and 2.42 million tons of coke, up 565.9 percent while importing 12.5 million tons of steel, down 6.6 percent, 440,000 tons of billet, down 88.7 percent, and 457.6 million tons of iron ore, down 2.5 percent.
