Ansteel posts positive 09 results

In 2009, Ansteel's output of pig iron and steel both surpassed 20 million tons and its steel products output reached 19 million tons. The mill had an operating revenue of up to 80 billion yuan and a profit of 3.1 billion yuan. Its sales of medium shipbuilding steel grew by 13 percent from the previous year, with those of auto sheet and heavy rail jumping by 13 percent and 25 percent respectively. Ansteel exported 1.04 million tons of steel, earning $550 million.
