China Metallurgical Group announced it would take part in the construction of the Cape Lambert Iron Mine in Australia in mid-2012. The project is expected to be completed by 2015. The group will mine 55 million tons of low-grade magnetite there per year and turn them into concentrates, totaling 15 million tons. The annual output of concentrates will increase to 25 million tons in the end.
