Xilin Steel to Build Large Steel Base in northeastern China

Xilin Steel will endeavor to foster a steel production capability of 10 million tons by the end of 2015 through a 10.5 billion yuan investment plan in the following aspects:

- Promoting technological renovations and exploring ways to identify areas for both potential growth and energy-conservation and emissions reduction;

- Continuing to integrate superior resources through mergers and reorganization;

This year the company merged with Harbin Special Steel in the form of lease payments to establish Xigang Group Harbin Xing'an Metal Product Company.

- Building a special steel and high quality steel production base capable of producing 500,000 tons per year of quality pig iron and one million tons of special steel covering high alloy metal, wire rod and ball flat steel for shipbuilding.

- Either introducing or self-developing the advanced smelting reduction iron-making technology to pursue a circular economy and implement the energy-saving and emissions reduction program.
