Malaysia published new toy safety requirements. Malaysia recently announced that the two regulations (Consumer Protection (Certificate of approval and conformity mark of safety standards) regulations 2009; Consumer Protection (Safety Standards for Toys) regulations 2009) will be postponed to be put into effect from on January 30, 2010 to July 1st, 2010. From then on, only products attached with these two test reports can be sold in Malaysia.
Exit-Entry inspection experts said that trade barriers are getting more severe. This is mostly resulted from barriers new Asian markets frequently built up and right there in the way for China toy exportation. They also pointed that Chinese toy manufacturers should get prepared.
