From January, CTA initiated a nationwide research concerning 2010 retail business of toys and baby articles in department stores. This research is conducted once a year and this is the third time. It is instructive for international brands who want to exploit market in mainland China to optimize strategies.
This research concentrates on toy sales volume, annual turnover and source of supply in department stores, highlighting 100 famous brands. Compared with previous years, this research will be divided into two sections -- toys and baby articles. Normal toys and licensing toys will be demonstrated in toy section. Baby articles part, on the other hand, will include baby strollers, baby beds, child seats, baby wear and feeding products etc. Moreover, the questionnaires are also designed more detailed and targeted to reveal about retail diversities of 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier cities.
It s mentionable that the number of subjects has increased more than 50% to nearly 1000 well-known department stores across the country. Besides the usual first-tier and secondary-tier cities, CTA also expands the research scope in the third tier cities. This means the report will be more comprehensive and authentic.
It is said 2010 Report on Toy Retail in Department Stores will be released at the end of March.
