Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Trade in Thailand indicated that the volume of Thai rice exports will have a substantial increase. The demand of rice in Indonesia and Philippines is still in a sustained growth at present. The supply of rice tended to be tight in the world. The volume of Thai rice exports may reach 9,500,000 tons this year. It rises 5.2 percentage points compared to last year which is 9,030,000 tons. The price of Thai rice may also rise 13 percentage points.
