In February at Geneva Headquarters Office WTO held meeting to discuss fishery subvention proposed by Japan. The proposal considered "fishery subvention will cause superfluous fishing ability and quantity, but can reduce and avoid its influence through strengthening resource management." Europe Union and Korea agreed the proposal, but Australia and New Zealand strongly disagreed because they thought the content of the proposal was back substantially with the proposal in 2007.
