The South African grape season is coming to a close. The Oliphant's River Region packed the final crop this week and quality remained good.
In the Berg River Region most growers in the Northern parts of the region have finished packing and volumes are down 10-15%, while quality quality and weather forecast remains good. The packing of Redglobe and Waltham Cross is finishing whilst Crimson and Bonheur are the last varieties to be packed.
Mid-season varieties (La Rochelle, Autumn Royal and Redglobe) are reaching the end of the packing window in the Hex Valley Region, whilst packing of Crimson Seedless is at its peak. The first Dauphine and Barlinka were also packed this week. The quality here also remains very good.
