On the afternoon of May 11th, the Yellow River Flood Control Conference of 2006 was held in Zhengzhou by the video meeting system of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters. The conference was presided by the director of the Yellow River Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and Governor of Henan Province, Li Chengyu. Tianyitang, the delegate of the secretary-general of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and vice minister of MWR Erjingping, director of the National Climate Centre (NCC) of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) Dongwenjie, director of YRCC Li Guoying, vice Governors of Shanxi,Shaanxi,Henan and Shandong provinces, vice director of Operational Headquarters of Jinan Military Command Kan Hui, etc, attended the conference. By going through with the gist of the First Entire Conference of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters and National Reservoirs Flood Control Meeting, the conference reviewed the Yellow River flood control work during the 10th Fiver-year Plan, analyzed the situation which the flood control is facing at present and arranged the flood control work of 2006.
