Danish starlet Eriksen is tipped for big things by many in the game and
is a reported transfer target for Liverpool and Arsenal.
Former Ajax Coach Martin Jol has praised Danish player Christian Eriksen as possibly one of the best players in Europe on Sunday during an interview with British newspaper The Sunday Times.
Martin Jol said of Eriksen: "Left foot, right foot, dribbling, shooting. He has the whole package. He is one of the greatest talents ever in Ajax. In two years, he will be one of the best 10 players in Europe."
According to the Danish news agency Ritzau, Eriksen could be valued at 100-million Danish Kroner (13.3-million Euros) for transfer. That is the assessment of several observers of the football transfer market, following the Ajax Amsterdam player's sterling performance in an England vs. Denmark friendly in Copenhagen on February 9. Eriksen made his mark on the game with a brilliant cross shot which was headed in by Daniel Agger to score Denmark's only goal of the match.
Eriksen currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam, for whom he signed in October 2008. He made his debut for the Danish national team in March 2010, and was the youngest player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
